Bina Marga Agency Conducts Health Protocol Monitoring in Glodok and Asemka Markets

Some 20 personnel of Jakarta Bina Marga Agency, detected a vendor did not wear masks during monitoring action along transitional PSBB in Glodok Market, West Jakarta, on Monday (7/20).

This vendor is fined by Rp 250,000

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho who led the action immediately rebuked and asked them to hand over their ID cards.

"This vendor is fined by Rp 250,000. Whereas he/she sells masks and hand sanitizers and medical devices, instead he/she doesn't give examples and reasoned forget because to play cell phone," he expressed, Monday (7/20).

He explained he/she apologized and was willing to pay a fine. After paying the fine, the ID card was returned.

"The money will be transferred to the local treasury through Bank DKI," he explained.

On the other hand, similar action was also conducted at Pagi Asemka Market and found no violations. Yet they saw vendors and shoppers who did not wear masks properly.

Besides supervision, the personnel were also instructed to actively social health protocols to the vendors and shoppers and be firm when finding violations.

"It is done to optimally prevent the spread of COVID-19 transmission," she stated.
